Frey
About This Home
Baufritz has been building timber homes since 1896, and they still manufacture everything at their factory in Bavaria. The Frey is one of their more compact designs at just under 100 m², but it packs in 3 bedrooms across two storeys without feeling squeezed. The pitched roof and mixed facade (timber cladding with rendered sections) give it a cleaner, more contemporary look than their traditional alpine models.
All Baufritz homes use their proprietary wood shaving insulation, developed in house and widely regarded as one of the best natural insulation systems in European housebuilding. Interior layouts are fully customisable down to finishes and room configurations. German engineering standards apply, with UK compliance confirmed on a project by project basis.
What We Love
Baufritz's proprietary wood shaving insulation is one of the best natural insulation systems in European housebuilding, and every Frey comes with it as standard.
