Ideenreich
About This Home
Baufritz has been manufacturing timber homes in Bavaria since 1896, and the Ideenreich explores a more experimental design direction than most of their range. The name translates roughly as 'rich in ideas', and the model earns it: a mixed facade of timber and modern materials, a combination of flat and pitched roof sections, and multi-functional interior areas designed to adapt across different uses.
Baufritz's patented wood shaving insulation and triple-glazed windows are standard throughout, and the construction uses the same chemical-free ecological materials found across the range. Integrated outdoor spaces are designed to connect naturally with the garden, and natural light is a clear priority in the room planning.
At just over 88 m² across two storeys, it works well for families. The flexible layout approach makes it particularly suited to households where rooms need to serve more than one function.
What We Love
The Ideenreich is one of the more architecturally experimental models in the Baufritz range. The mix of roof forms and integrated outdoor connections give it a character most standard prefab homes do not attempt.
