Seidel
About This Home
Baufritz has been building ecological timber homes in Bavaria since 1896, and the Seidel is one of their more slender, contemporary two-storey designs. At just over 130 m² across dimensions of 16.38 by 7.95 metres, the footprint is notably narrow and deep, which gives it a distinct proportional quality compared to the blockier forms in the range. The contemporary facade uses mixed materials and timber elements to create a refined exterior.
The ecological timber frame uses Baufritz's proprietary wood shaving insulation throughout. Advanced heating, modern climate control, eco-friendly water heating, and large energy-efficient windows are all part of the specification. The open-concept living spaces across the floor plan are designed for flexible use, with customisation options allowing buyers to adapt configurations to their needs.
The Seidel is a strong choice for buyers with a narrow plot who want a contemporary Baufritz home rather than a traditional form. The proportions work well on constrained sites where standard two-storey layouts wouldn't sit comfortably. Interior layouts and finishes are fully customisable. German standards apply; UK compliance is confirmed project by project.
What We Love
The Seidel's unusually narrow footprint at 7.95 metres wide makes it one of the few Baufritz designs suited to tighter or more constrained plots, without sacrificing floor area or ecological specification.
