Reframe Systems' ADU is a compact, all electric accessory dwelling unit built in their Massachusetts microfactory and assembled on site. The standard unit is 550 sq ft with one bedroom and one bathroom; a 400 sq ft studio variant is also available. It is designed to Passive House energy standards and is solar ready. A completed example in Arlington, MA was a net zero two bedroom 1.5-bath unit delivered in partnership with the Housing Corporation of Arlington.
What We Love
Helical pile foundations instead of a poured concrete slab means no concrete on site, faster installation and a smaller footprint: a detail most ADU builders do not bother with, and one that matters on tight urban lots.
Construction
Build System Panelised offsite microfactory construction with robotics and AI-guided fabrication. All electric. Passive House standard (confirmed for ADU). Helical pile foundations (confirmed for Arlington ADU project delivery).
