The Berkeley ADU is Module's 275 sq ft accessory dwelling unit, designed as a compact studio with a murphy bed or pullout sofa, efficiency kitchen and full bathroom. The unit was displayed at the HUD 2023 Innovative Housing Showcase in Washington DC.
What We Love
The Berkeley ADU was shown at the 2023 HUD Innovative Housing Showcase: a level of scrutiny most micro-ADUs do not face. The murphy bed or pullout sofa layout was stress-tested against a national standard.
Construction
Build System Factory built modular, crane set on site
Roof Type Metal (up to 75-year lifespan)
Exterior Finish Fiber cement or engineered wood siding (30 to 50 year warranty)
