The Backyard XL 8 is Samara's larger two bedroom, two bathroom model at 800 gross square feet. It uses a wider footprint (25' x 32') compared to the standard linear models, with the primary bedroom benefiting from an en suite. Factory built with cold formed steel framing. Available in California only.
What We Love
California's Wildland-Urban Interface zones eliminate most factory built ADUs before they reach planning. Samara builds WUI fire certification into the XL 8 as standard: the two bedroom, two bathroom layout is already compliant for sites where other prefabs cannot go.

Primary bedroom with en suite bath and walk-in shower. Secondary bedroom with built-in wardrobe. Shared bathroom with 32" x 60" cast iron tub. Full size electric appliances including induction cooktop and integrated dishwasher. Stacked washer/dryer. High efficiency heat pump. Optional 7-panel or 14-panel solar configuration.
