The Yves Behar LivingHome 1 is a 625 sq ft one bedroom ADU designed by Yves Behar of San Francisco studio fuseproject and manufactured by Plant Prefab. It uses helical pile footings to suit varied site conditions and is available with three deck configurations; interior details include a pull-out dining table and mold-resistant noncombustible drywall throughout. Hard costs cover factory fabrication, transport, installation and sitework.
What We Love
Helical pile footings are a small detail that solves a large problem: most 625 sq ft ADUs assume a flat, cooperative site. The Yves Behar LivingHome 1 builds in ground flexibility from the start, which matters far more on rear lots than the three deck options.
